You’ll wish you’d ordered something cold, like granola and strawberries. Because by the time this actually gets to you, your pancakes will be cold and mushy. But at least they will have arrived in style, right?
On Wednesday the 21st I took another shot at it. Here’s my second entry:

This is an actual (very cool, really) product with an actual review from some British guy; they use funny expressions. I like it. The Pad-Dock converts your iPhone to an iPad…kinda. It enlarges the screen on a touch-screen interface. and you can make calls while using it too. It apparently has a battery which lasts for 22 hours as well. Compare that to the iPad’s ten.

“As usual IWOOT provides the goods! I have become the centre of attention on the commute with people asking “is that one of those new iPads?”, “can I have a look” etc. It does look a bit odd though when you hold it up to your ear to make a call…a bit Dom Jolly!”

No, this is not a new discovery, but something I thought I’d share for any who may be interested. Ecuador has NO dark beers. Pilsener is the biggest seller, and while it’s refreshing on a hot day or with a freshly prepared turkey sandwich with some aji, it’s still light; tasting similar to a Budweiser. If it tasted anything like a Sam Adam’s it would be just fine! I for one, prefer a dark beer; something with hops, maybe even a little bitter. IPA’s are delicious. That’s why I must wait a whole year to have my dark beers (when we return to the U.S. on vacation). And when I finally get one…it’s deleeeesh.

I’ve had my iPad now for a little over a week and have already come across some fun and entertaining apps. ‘Harbor Master‘ however, is well worth mentioning. The objective of the game is to safely maneuver several cargo ships in and out of varying cargo docks (I have the standard map and paid .99¢ for a new map) without them crashing into each-other. The game itself is free to download from the Apple app store and even offers Twitter posting capabilities after you’ve finally managed to allow two ships to crash, which is easy to do. Two or more will sometimes enter the screen while you’re trying to dock one ship and it often times goes unnoticed.

Unlike it’s iPhone counterpart (which i believe costs a one-time fee of $1.99 to download), the iPad version (Harbor Master HD) comes with one free map while currently, three others can be downloaded at .99¢ each. If you download one map, all ads will go away. Of course, the ads only come up if you’re connected to the internet anyway. I like the games overall look and feel. It has great imagery and a fun music loop too.
iPad Tip: These images were taken on my iPad itself. To take your own snapshots, hold down the ‘Home’ button, then the off/standby button for a second. A clicking sound and flashing effect will let you know the snapshot has been taken. Snapshots such as these are stored in your photo Album.
